Holiday Temp Job Opportunities are Opening

One Nice Job 12 August, 2020

Christmas may seem like a long way off but companies are already looking for people to fill temp jobs for November and December. Here are some options to consider if you're hoping to make a bit of extra money during this time.

Serving on Tills

It remains to be seen if people will crowd into stores or shop from home this Christmas season. However, what can be said for certain is that stores aren't taking chances. Argos, Tesco, and other retailers are looking for extra people to serve on tills for November and December. If you have good communication skills and would rather not lift heavy objects in a storeroom or drive around town, this can be a great way to earn a bit of extra cash.

Working in the Storeroom

Just about every retailer needs people to pack orders and prepare them for shipping. Amazon, Marks & Spencer, and Tesco are just some of the many sellers looking for people to work in the storeroom at this busy time of the year. Royal Mail offers sorting positions for those who have don't mind poring through millions of cards and letters to ensure they get to the right destination.

Delivery

Are you a good driver? Are you willing to drive in all kinds of weather? If so, you may want to consider a delivery job. Amazon, Royal Mail, Argos, and others need truck drivers to ensure their customers get their purchases before Christmas Day.

Some of these jobs come with additional benefits. Retailers may offer temp workers a discount on purchases. Some companies may even be willing to hire you full-time if you do well with temp work. What's more, most of these positions are flexible, enabling you to take on a temp job even if you have another job, care for small children, and/or are finishing your studies. Consider the options carefully but don't delay applying for work. While there are plenty of job opportunities, they will fill up fast as thousands of people looking for a bit of extra cash take advantage of extra temp jobs to boost their budget.
